I.                    Meeting Called to Order

 

Mr. Colvin called the meeting to order and then led in pledging allegiance to the U.S. flag followed by a prayer.

 

II.                  Approval of Minutes for the March 13, 2012 Meeting

 

                     UPON MOTION BY MR. MCMILLIAN AND SECOND BY MR. BLACK, THE BOARD VOTED 7 – 0,

                       BY VOICE VOTE, TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF JUNE 12, 2012.

 

 

III.                New Business Items

 

a.)    Approval of Stan Vaughan, Stan Vaughn Builder, LLC, a Registered Residential Building Contractor

 

UPON MOTION BY MR. FRANCIS AND SECOND BY MR. BLACK, THE BOARD VOTED 7 -0, BY VOICE VOTE, TO ACCEPT AND HEAR THE APPLICATION OF STAN VAUGHAN FOR REGISTERED RESIDENTIAL BUILDING.

                                         

UPON MOTION BY MR. MCMILLIAN AND SECOND BY MR. SAMPSON, THE BOARD VOTED 7 – 0, BY VOICE VOTE, TO APPROVE THE APPLICATION FOR STAN VAUGHAN, LLC, A REGISTERED RESIDENTIAL BUILDING CONTRACTOR.

 

IV.                Old Business Items

 

Kimmie Lewis, Lewis Plumbing Repair, Registered Plumbing Contractor, Quincy, FL

 

Mr. McMillian questioned if Kimmie Lewis had straightened out all he needed to become a Registered Plumbing Contractor.

 

Mr. Collins replied Mr. Lewis had not met the requirements and needed to go to DBPR and complete the unfinished portion.

 

Mr. Colvin asked how he got a registered number. He mentioned the standards that are required for licensing in the County.

 

Mr. Collins replied he received a registered number for the City of Quincy.

 

Specialty Carpentry License

 

Mr. Francis brought up the issue of the Specialty Carpentry License/ Card, what was involved for individual to qualify.

 

Mr. Collins commented in order to receive the Card one must take a test in the field they wish to work in with a score of 75 or better.
