Meeting Called to Order:

Judge Parsons called the meeting to order.

Approvals of September 2013 Minutes:

 Minutes from September 26, 2013 were approved and signed by Judge.

Officer Sellers were sworn at the start of the meeting for testimony that would be given throughout the course of the hearings. 

Officer Powell was not present and had no cases for this hearing.

New Business:

Mr. Sellers said it was a nightclub at one time. He said defendant has done a lot of work on property to make it look better and cleaned up. Block structure should be sound. He stated the property was an eyesore.

Mrs. Atkins said that she would like to turn building into a community service center. She said the building has been painted and they are trying to clean the property up. She said landscaping has been done and debris has been removed. She said a lot of the community has pulled in to help clean property up.

Judge Parsons passed case for 30 days. He said that will continue to work with them

Mr. Sellers said this is abandoned house. He said the property is foreclosed on. They no longer own the property.

Judge Parsons said the notice should be done over to the new owners, which is the mortgage company. Continue to allow the county to amend process to new owners.

Mr. Sellers sent letter and I have posted the property. I have no correspondence or feedback. It’s an old building and the building has fallen down.

Judge Parsons entered order to tear down property and clean property.
