Meeting Called to Order: Judge Parson’s called meeting to order.

 

Approval of January 23, 2014 Minutes: The minutes were approved by the Judge.

Ms. Atkins stated that she said Planning Department said it was designated an Urban Service Area. She said she had crew come by and they will be replacing the roof.

 

Judge Parsons asked did she have funding.

 

Mr. Sellers asked that you give her to the next meeting to make drastic changes after that it would be out of his hands.

 

Judge Parsons continued case for 30 days.

Mr. Sellers said he hadn’t seen significant progress and recommended a daily fine.

 

Mrs. McBride said the hog pin is down, tupelo is gone, bay area is cleaned up.

 

Judge Parsons continued case for 30 days for Mr. Sellers to visit property if there are things that need doing by certified letter.

Mr. Sellers said her property was the one that we needed in person to get consent for County to tear down the property. Has quote for $3,700 to remove structure from the property. He said they would lien the property.

 

Mrs. Jackson said she owns the property.

 

Judge Parsons asked question concerning the property. He said from the legal point this may be heir property, could be several owners. If the last deed is in the name of Lavada Harley there may be legal counsel. He suggested they consult to Mr. Weiss, County Attorney.

Mr. Sellers commented he has not seen progress on the property. The old single wide mobile home, double wide debris around mobile home needs to be removed. The old motor home needs to be removed.

 

Mrs. Clark said it has been torn down.

 

Judge Parson continued case for 30 days and directed them to work with Mr. Sellers on what needs to be done.

Mr. Powell said he cited them on property with trash and unusable items on lot and needs to be removed because it’s a nuisance to neighborhood.

 

Mr. Brooks said the property was used as a dump area. He said he moved a lot of items before moving his home there.

 

Judge Parsons said that they are responsible for the property. He entered ordered for him to clean property. Revisit case for 30 days.

Mr. Sellers said home was repossession. All we really need to do is cut weeds and clean up property. He presented Martin Thigpen, adjourning property owner would like to purchase property. It needs to be cleaned up.

Ms. Mapps said the property is heir property. Have cleaned the lawn on the property.

 

Judge Parsons said the house needs to be torn down. House is a safety issue. He said he would enter enforcement order or County will tear down and place lien on property.

Mr. Sellers said it is a burnt out motor home that needs to be removed and a double wide that needs to be cleaned.

 

Mrs. Hardesty said it had been removed the motor home.

 

Mrs. Joyner said she would check on permits for the property.

 

Judge Parsons continued case for 30 days for property to be cleaned and motor home to be removed.

Case #14-001   

Midfirst Bank – P (Michael Colinio)

Mr. Colinio represented Midfirst Bank took possession of property in September 2013 through foreclosure. He asked for a 120 days to come into compliance. He said this is a HUD property and requires their approval.

 

Mr. Sellers said property can’t be cleaned it needs to be demolished.

 

Judge Parsons continued for 60 days to follow through with progress.

 

Annie B. Jackson  

 

Mr. Sellers said there was an order to tear down the 2 houses. He said he was not comfortable to tearing down smaller house, but the yellow house he wants to come down. He asked Judge for order for yellow house to be torn down only one.

 

Judge Parsons entered order for one home.
