Heirs of Alice Neal (Willie Neal – P)

Violation:  House needs to be demolished

 

Officer Powell said there has been very little done on the house.

 

Mr. Neal said that he need additional time. The house has some water damage and the porch has been taken down.

 

Officer  Powell asked for some additional constraints a timetable.

 

Judge Parsons gave Mr. Neal an additional 90 days. He said after that time they would pose a $100 fine or the county would come in and demolish and charge back to homeowners. He gave the defendant until January court date.

Officer Seller request Judge to Dismiss the Case with Conditions only thing left is a small pile of metal. The grounds need to grow up in weeds.

 

Judge Parsons said once the metal is removed the case would dismissed.

 

Officer Sellers said he would monitor case, if all conditions are met, they won’t have to come back.

Burnt House

 

Officer Powell said it was a burnt house. The fire department said it could be possible arson, but eyesore to neighborhood. He said there was an abandoned car also that needed to be removed. He signed for certified letter.

 

Judge Parsons entered Enforcement Order.

Officer Powell said this is East 90 Body Shop. It was a foreclosure and a church has bought the property. He asked for 30 days. We need lot cleaned up.

Illegal Lane Use

 

Officer Sellers said this is a land use issue and he need to apply with Land Use Code. He said he would took to the Planning Department.

 

Judge Parsons how does county handle Land Issue Codes. He said it was his impression that the Court should handle Land Use Issues. He passed case for 30 days.

Officer Sellers said there is 2 cases numbers on this case old case that has been reopened. He said the defendant has mental challenges. He refused certified letter, but the property has been served.

 

Judge Parsons entered Enforcement Order.
