Dixon said Sheriff has been meeting with other Sheriffs and consolidation of Dispatch Center.
Holt arrived at 6:10 p.m.
Col. Collins appeared before the Board concerning a consolidated dispatch center. Co-locating not feasible and probable. Will be a County project.
Hinson asked for a workshop regarding this matter.
Holt said would be good to have cost analysis done also.
Moore asked if there were a time schedule established yet-no. He said best to proceed slowly but thoroughly.
Holt mentioned the Guardian Program with the school system. Collins said they were on a different radio system.

Willie Gaines 5775 Ben Bostick Rd, Quincy, FL Community: speed limit signs, trash round-up 2nd annual Appeared before the Board and stated his community was having serious issues. Frank Jackson Road has become dangerous and something needs to be done.
Jeremiah Lee, Public Works Director appeared before the Board to address the speed bump process.

Approval of Carrier Commercial Service Maintenance Plan for the Chillers located at CRMC-Gadsden Campus Ms. Daniels introduced the above item.
Holt asked if there were any local vendors.
Allan Meeks appeared before the Board. He understood Carrier’s maintenance program was several thousand dollars cheaper.
NeSmith said did have opportunity to meet with the Administrator but still had questions. He asked if this was a renewal agreement for 5 years

Updates Daniels reminded everyone first public hearing was Tuesday at 6:00 and Final will be September 19th at 6:00 p.m.

Updates Knowles explained Item 6a and said was ½ Million sitting on that the County could receive.
Hinson asked Knowles to explain. He said we were one of local governments that will receive a settlement.

Commissioner Eric Hinson, District 1 Had nothing to report
|
|
Commissioner Jeffery Moore, District 2 Moore gave appreciation to citizens that came out to represent Gadsden Senior Center and felt the County was big enough to have both groups. With any group that receives money, need to lay out criteria, give boundaries
Hinson said the gentleman stated about Dewberry, there has been a number of deaths on Highway 12.
Moore said regarding speed bumps, they are hated but could help resolve problem.

Commissioner Brenda Holt, District 4 Holt said have been trying to help gentleman with VA-did they send flowchart about projects and grant funding etc.
Asked progress on Budget Director-advertising for Senior Management Budget Analyst
Hinson said thought put money in last year for budget director, Green said have advertised. Holt said may have to raise the money to get someone.
Moore said to not exclude lobbyists from list.

Chair and body all agreed to get together for workshop.
Proud to represent Legislative aide, Stephanie Jackson, appeared before the Board.
Holt returned at 7:08 p.m.
Regarding hospital-he spoke with Chair to see if could schedule a joint workshop with hospital. Said have been bought out by HCA.
Spoke with ACA several weeks ago and she told him she needed guidance from them.
Need to provide non-profits with list of expectations. We give the money and there is no deliverables.
Made motion to place dollars in contract services for economic development
Holt said did not have problem but bring back in a workshop.
Daniels said budget was set up for economic development and still had money going to Chamber and GCDC.
Holt said the $80,000 did not have to be committed anywhere.
Hinson echoed same thing. Hospital gave money back and we can use it how want to now.
NeSmith said was comfortable with that money being set aside.
Would like to do same thing for health care, get Health Care Coordinator. Daniels said money going to health council go into reserves now.
Green asked if GCHC was ordinanced by board.
Holt said think want to get that board GCHC placed under this Board. Green asked if have to have public hearing.
Knowles said they are separate non-profit and County cannot own corporation or non-profit.
Holt said organization may not want to continue to operate.
Hinson said Board also created GCDC. Part of ½ cent sales tax goes to GCHC.
Holt said that was purpose of workshop.
NeSmith asked when annual report coming out. Daniels said last one was for June 2021.
NeSmith asked procedure for evaluation for two employees. Daniels will get back with them on that.
NeSmith said Rosetta Rolle Hylton Anderson passed this past weekend.
NeSmith motion for formal resolution in honor of Ms. Anderson/Holt second 5-0
Hinson said had one thing forgot. This Thursday at City Office in Midway, Come Out Party at Midway United Fellowship Church.

Commissioner Ronterious Green, Chair, District 5 September 22 is meeting at Joe Adams Road at Fire station regarding 4-way stop sign at Joe Adams/Jim Lee Road.
Asked Lee when stripping will start on Joe Adams.
Some wearing yellow and gold to represent childhood cancer and Courthouse lit at night in yellow and gold.
