CITIZENS REQUESTING TO BE HEARD ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS (3-MINUTE LIMIT) The Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners welcomes and encourages public participation at all meetings of the Board. Citizens are free to speak for up to three (3) minutes on non-agenda items. Public comments and participation are also encouraged for items on the agenda. Additionally, if you are unable to attend a meeting in person, comments from the Public can also be submitted via email to CitizensToBeHeard@gadsdencountyfl.gov until noon on the date of the meeting. Comments submitted after the deadline, but prior to the meeting, will be added to the official record, but the County cannot guarantee that Commissioners and staff will have adequate time to review comments prior to the meeting. Citizens are further encouraged to participate via Zoom using the credentials on the County’s website. The Board’s meetings are also broadcast live on the Board’s Facebook page. Burgess appeared before the Board. Took comments from last ARPA workshop and tried to re-work numbers. Increased amount for Parks Upgrade and Expansion to $350,000. Recommending to allocate 2 million from ARPA Funds. For year 25-26 recommending $104,048.99 Hinson asked about cost for implementing lighting. Dixon stated Green wanted to know if they could utilize some of $150,000 for… Dixon stated the chiefs are looking at stipend; included in money Hinson asked about fire hydrant Dixon stated Talquin own most of lines. Talquin would not invest on their own Hinson wanted the cost for it. Green asked if any particular areas they were already considering for the study as it related to visibility… Dixon stated Holt stated everyone has to meet first before… Hinson asked if they ever got in contact with… Hinson stated they needed something that could help them now. He mentioned fire hydrants... Dixon stated Chief informed him they already met with… Hinson asked if they were already using Simpkins stated she met with Ms. Burgess Burgess mentioned the Half Cent Sales Tax. Green mentioned Boys and Girls Club. He had concern over operation of this club and what they were bringing to the table. Dixon stated… Simpkins asked if any add funding to go towards fire services. Daniels stated putting 150k to fire. Fire has own budget Simpkins mentioned maneuvering...
