 Baptiste made opening statement

 Chair read segment of rights

Holland M. Ware –

   No one present on behalf of the Ware’s, turned over to Property Appraiser

  Reginald Cunningham, Called Fletcher to address Holland Ware petition.

  Lindsey Fletcher appeared. Baptiste stated to admit it to evidence.

  Chrissy asked if they submitted evidence. Fletcher stated no.

William and Cathy Farr 564 Middle Creek Rd-

   Baptiste asked if anyone present for petition of William and Cathy Farr 

William and Cathy Farr appeared.

  Mr. Brown appeared to present case. Request to submit evidence.

NeSmith appeared at 12:49 pm.  

  Cathy Farr appeared before the Board. Gave brief overview of issues in her house.

  William Farr appeared. Baptiste asked if request in writing any specific evidence from petitioner. Property Appraiser stated yes, asked for all evidence.

 

Baptiste asked Chair to accept exhibit.

 

  Farr stated their property is overvalued. They are on fixed income. Land value should be less.

 Cathy Farr stated they wanted to move to this area. Took them 2 years and all of their savings. As self-governing county, they are able to make the decisions.

 

  Mr. Brown stated would like to submit to evidence the package provided.

  Farr stated property value went up, doubling it did not make sense to him.

 Cathy Farr asked about comp.

 Chrissy stated would not be considered new sales. New to her would be in the last 90 days.

 Farr asked about sq ft

 Brown stated they look at exterior of house

 Young asked about their acres and how many were considered low elevation    

 Young asked mile radius for comp 3  

Brown stated the Farr’s were valued at fair market rate

 Farr provided closing statement

 Next scheduled meeting on 10/17/2023 for final decision
