a.       Approval of Minutes February 12, 2024, Regular Meeting

b.      TDC Website Update

 Steele stated website moving along well.

c.       Discussion and Action Visit Florida and TDC Advertising

  Steele stated went to rural workshop and learned a lot. 

  Holt motion to pay 6k for Visit FL Videos / Williams 5-0

d.      Discussion and Action 2025 Crappie Masters Funding

  Steele stated they have asked to partner with them again.

  Steele asking to approve 20k for crappie

  Steele stated 20k for this line item

  Holt motion for funding of crappie tournament for up to 25k/ Dubree 5-0     

e.       Discussion and Action Marketing Fund Request

  Steele stated held 2 workshops.

  Steele asked for approval to reimburse 5f farms for fireworks in amount of $2,900

  Holt motion to approve reimbursement of $2,900 for 5f farms fireworks/ Patel 5-0

  Steele asked to approve $625 for Havana Main Street Bus Tour

                        Dubree/ Holt 5-0

  Steele mentioned big bend rodeo – they asked 5k on marketing for them

  Dubree stated did not like getting this info so late – event is in a month, not a lot of time to advertise. 

  Holt motion to approve 5k for marketing for big bend rodeo/ Patel 5-0

f.        Discussion and Action Recommend to BOCC to increase spending threshold amount in County Ordinance 2015-008

  Steele mentioned email from Clerk’s office.

 Recommends to move amount to 50k 

  Not approving this, just recommending this to BOCC.

  Holt made motion to recommend 50k increase for spending threshold amount/ Patel 5-0 

  Steele stated 100k in marketing funds    

g.       Discussion and Action RFP 24-04 Tourism Marketing Service

  Steele stated put RFP out, was properly advertised. 

Holt motion to approve RFP/ Williams 5-0

h.      Discussion and Action FY 24/25 Budget

  Steele stated have a million in the bank.  

  Holt stated to inform BOCC of bed tax that TDC brings in. They do not just sit there and have parties. 

  Steele stated they were in track

  Steele mentioned requesting 10k salary increase for herself

Holt motion to approve 10k salary increase for Ms. Steele / Williams 5-0

  Steele mentioned governors’ tourism conference In Tampa

 Steele asked for motion of $354,523 for budget this year

 Patel motion to approve budget for 2025/ Holt 5-0
