6. PUBLIC HEARING: (Quasi-Judicial)-Perkins Ridge Preliminary Plat (SD 2018-01)-Consideration to Request a Replat of a Lot in a Recorded, Platted Subdivision Mrs. Jackson introduced the above item. Jill Jeglie explained this item. She said this was a split of 18.92 acres into a 13.56 acre lot and a 5.39 acre lot.
She said the recommendation was Option 3-Board direction.
Chair Holt asked what the property owners’ intent was and Ms. Jeglie said to give the 5 acre lot to their son to be able to build a house.

7. PUBLIC HEARING: (Quasi-Judicial)-Perkins Ridge Final Plat (SD 2018-01)

8. PUBLIC HEARING: Adoption of Ordinance No. 2018-002, An Ordinance of the BOCC of Gadsden County, FL amending Chapter 2, Article V, Division 5 of the GC Code of Ordinances regarding the GC Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, to delete the automatic sunset provision in Section 2-244, providing for repeal, severability, inclusion in the GC Code of Ordinances, modifications that may arise from consideration at a “Public Hearing”, and correction of Scrivener’s errors; and providing for an effective date; and adoption of revised Bylaws for the GC Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, deleting the automatic sunset provision.
Mrs. Jackson introduced the above item.
Mr. Weiss said the BOCC adopted an Ordinance and Bylaws for the Advisory Board and when adopted they wanted to do an automatic sunset on March 31, 2018 unless readdressed.

9. PUBLIC HEARING: Adoption of Ordinance 2018-003, An Ordinance of the BOCC of Gadsden County, FL adopting Chapter 66,, Article III of the GC Code of Ordinances, the Gadsden County Emergency Repair Program; providing for repeal, severability, inclusion in the Gadsden County Code of Ordinances, modifications that may arise from consideration at a “Public Hearing” and correction of Scrivener’s Errors; and providing an effective date Mrs. Jackson introduced the above item.
Mr. Weiss said the Ordinance was similar to the policy Clerk in particular wanted change to show public purpose. Was sent to Clerk and never had response. Chair Holt asked if this was the one that Commissioners decided on and he said no, Commissioners do not decide who receives assistance.

10. Consideration of Resolution 2018-001, Revising Gadsden County’s Travel Policy Introduced above item.
Brad Johnson addressed this item. He said revisions were made in June 7, 2005 and additional provisions were made on April 11, 2006, February 2, 2010 and November 18, 2014. He explained the County has been operating under the 2014 policy since that time.
Chair said a Commissioner brought up the travel was announced in a public meeting and their house may be vacant.
Commissioner Viegbesie said he felt this would be a fairly contentious issue. He asked about travel that Commissioners do as far as meeting with citizens; it’s not a workshop,
Mr. Johnson said when they started discussing
Chair Holt suggested since this would be contentious, move it to the end of the agenda and felt this should be a workshop.
Commissioner V’s suggested they pull this item and workshop it soon and said that would be his motion in the meeting.
Mrs. Jackson said for the record Staff was working on the entire policy

11. Sheriff’s Office Duty Firearms Acquisition Bobby Collins, GCSO, appeared before the Board. Request been out for year. Has spoken with Connie McLendon regarding steps.
Mrs. Jackson clarified the lowest quote
Collins said they followed Connie’s purchasing guidelines as well as theirs
Weiss said he had a question as to whether it applied to their procurement policy and following State purchasing policy does.
Chair Holt said what Connie wants doesn’t matter-it’s a dictatorship

Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce Update David Gardner, Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce, appeared before the Board and gave an update.
Commissioner Viegbesie arrived at 4:43 p.m.
Rob Nixon gave an update of the Small Business Service Center
Mr. Nixon said they have been promoting Corporate Citizenship
Chair Holt said the reason for the pre-workshop
