5. PUBLIC HEARING: (Quasi-Judicial)-Hoover Treated Wood Products, Inc. (Azalea Project) Conceptual and Preliminary Site Plan (SO-2018-01) Hoover Treated Wood Project Jill Jeglie introduced above item-previously named Azalea Project
Will be 4 structures-propose to treat wood products with fire retardant chemicals
Heard at 2 planning commission meetings
Came to agreement with Tall Timbers and have settlement agreement with other group and can be addressed at meeting later
Traffic on road will be increased
Holt asked that they go through the Procedures
V asked if compromise had been worked out with residents-yes Vote was 6-1-what were concerns of descending vote-can only In reading concurrency page-traffic be at 159A & Highway 27
Holt said had to stick to what procedures were-cannot justify not voting before it just because it wasn’t liked.
V asked about environmental-that area has lot of deer, turkeys, etc.
V asked since will be clearing existing trees-will not be clearing any existing protected trees

6.Sheriff’s Deputy Training Request-Florida SWAT Association 2018 Tactical Emergency Medical Support Course Mrs. Jackson introduced above item.
Captain Collins appeared before the Board. He said this request was to cover the costs of SWAT training Emergency Medical Support Course.
Sending John Cessna to course-was previously EMT with County and now deputy. Asking it be funded through LEEF
Advertised as $666 But has gone to $711 and have completed requirements from Clerk’s Office
V asked if person would be trained in hostage negotiation-no-will be medic-
Holt asked about item from previous meeting
Holt said wanted to see coordination
V asked if was hearing that Clerk’s Office contacted
Don’t think no matter how much may not like person, have to respect position
David said request sent end of last week
Holt said need to schedule workshop and Constitutionals can come if want.

Buddy Peddie said was for approval for signatures – have been issues with verbage and contract-David said changes have been made
Peddie said result of grant
911 board required 3 quotes

8. Approval and Award of Re-Bid RFP 17-17 CBDG Lead-Based Paint Inspections, Risk Assessment and Clearance Testing Services Jackson introduced Is recommendation for Bid award
Holt asked why re-bid
Weiss said was because advertised on all local papers but under grant requirements had to be published as well in newspaper in ? demographic circulation

Made request for County Commissioner from District 3 and the Tax Collector. Board has right to appoint their choice.
V asked why District 3 Dee said Staff had same question since Garden Center not in that District.

Gadsden County Development Council Update Beth Kirkland appeared before the Board and gave a brief update.
The alcohol Ordinance was addressed with the City of Quincy.
